Which patient needs which treatment and when - is a frequent question posed by health professionals. In addition, clarity is often sought as to when triple therapy should be started, how treatment can be intensified and importantly, what are the risks and benefits of the different combinations? In this presentation, asthma expert, Professor Christine Jenkins will provide practical answers to some of the more common questions Australian health professionals have about the role of triple therapy in treating this very common condition.
About the Expert
Prof Christine Jenkins
Prof Christine Jenkins is a thoracic physician and has led many sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials in airways disease. Her area of research interest is the clinical management of airways disease and she is currently implementing trials in asthma, COPD and pulmonary rehabilitation in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. She has been active in advocacy and leadership for lung health in Australia, previously chairing the National Asthma Campaign, the TSANZ and several Federal Government advisory groups. She is the current chair of the Board of the Lung Foundation of Australia.
