What you'll learn in this expert session
Patients are often confused by risk and benefit data, and by terms such as probability, absolute risk, relative risk, odds ratio and hazard ratio.
In this presentation, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Prof Rodney Baber AM will unpack this terminology so nurses can apply it confidently — both in their own clinical decision-making and in helping patients make informed choices. He will also provide practical methods for understanding and explaining MHT-related risk, with a focus on cardiovascular and cancer risk.
