What you'll learn in this expert session
The rules regarding driving and seizures often seem straightforward, and in most cases they are. In this presentation, Prof Ernest Somerville, Neurologist, explains that several grey areas remain—areas that can be challenging, complex, or simply confusing. He explores these difficult situations and provides practical advice on topics such as managing patients with a history of provoked versus unprovoked seizures, understanding the differing rules for commercial and private licences, dealing with unreliable patients, and navigating situations where patients pressure doctors to declare them fit to drive despite their medical history suggesting otherwise.
