What you'll learn in this expert session
Heavy, painful periods should not be considered a normal rite of passage for young women. If periods are interfering with the teenager's life and causing distress, treatment is needed.
In this presentation, Prof Sonia Grover, Gynaecologist and Pain Medicine Specialist, shares her clinical expertise and real-world experience about the best way to support adolescent girls who present with heavy and/or painful periods. She will also highlight the importance of recognising and treating these patients early to, not only improve their quality of life at the time but also improve their long-term health outcomes including their long-term fertility.
