A/Prof Sof Andrikopoulos
A/Prof Sof Andrikopoulos is an NH&MRC senior research fellow, Associate Professor, and Head of the Islet Biology and Metabolism Research Group at the University of Melbourne, Department of Medicine (Austin Health). The group investigates genetic susceptibility to islet dysfunction using animal models of diabetes. This research supports the hypothesis that increased insulin secretory demand may contribute to diabetes and that strategies promoting metabolic deceleration could be beneficial
