What you'll learn in this expert session
In almost every area of preventive medicine, patient adherence to medication, or more precisely lack of adherence is a major barrier to success. Cardioprotective medications are a case in point.
In this presentation, Dr Adam Nelson will discuss the challenges presented by patient adherence in cardiovascular medicine, and importantly what has been proven to be effective in improving adherence rates, including the use of easily-accessible digital tools. He will also detail how just a small improvement in patient compliance in this area of medicine could and would have a major impact on population health outcomes.
