What you'll learn in this expert session
This presentation will cover the recent COVID developments such as the new variants emerging, particularly XE, Ba4 and Ba5 as they are making their way to Australia and the virulence of these mutations.
This course will discuss the evidence supporting the importance of the 4th vaccine dose and will also provide an update on what we currently know about Long COVID. Antivirals LAGEVRIO and PAXLOVID and their clinical application for the management of acute COVID infection will also be explored.

- Outline the status of the current COVID-19 outbreak in Australia
- Explain eligibility and current advice on vaccinations and oral therapy in different patient groups
- Explain current data on re-infection and immunity from convalescence and immunisations
- Recognise Long COVID and refer patients for ongoing symptom management
