What you'll learn in this expert session
Benzodiazepine use in primary care is challenging. While they can be highly effective therapeutically, which explains their continued availability, healthcare professionals are well aware of the difficulties in managing dependency. Convincing patients to consider stopping is often a significant hurdle. In this presentation, Dr Adam Straub, Addiction Medicine Physician, acknowledges these challenges and provides real-world advice and evidence-based recommendations. From conversation starters to practical withdrawal plans, Dr Straub aims to enhance HCPs' confidence in managing this complex issue within the primary care setting.
